Ordinary Fall

Sometimes I can't hear
The sky speak to me anymore
The things built so high
Surrounding me
On the moors or dessert
I walk discontented

Why this feeling
You're just like me
Can't hide this feeling
I am just me

When I start to move
I'd still make mistakes
Once you missed
What you need
That's right in front of you
You fall deep inside
You keep coming back for more

Why this feeling
You're just like me
Can't hide this feeling
I am just me

You keep wishing, wishing, wishing
You were happier faraway
Keep wishing, wishing, wishing
You were happier faraway
But it doesn't come this way
Its just not what you say
So reach out
Just reach out

Don't ask why this feeling
You're just like me
Don't hide this feeling
I am just me

Personal:
This song is not entirely about the poem. Just a couple of phrases that stung my heart, that allured me to put myself into that particular position as if i was him and he was me, indulging in the moment of a sense of loss and appreciation of our surroundings.

"Whither is fled the visionary gleam?
Where is it now, the glory and the dream?"

We were once purely innocent created beings, until we were brought forth onto Earth, shaped and nurtured into who we are today. We now claim to be under the care of Mother Nature and her acquaintance - Earth and human philosophies, forgetting the very truth that each breath we take in is given by God. God, with His own bare hands that mold us in His image; with His spirit, inspire into us the breath of Life while we're still in our heavenly cradle.

Perhaps, there wasn't a choice then. Many would argue,

"we didn't ask for this,.."
"He could've just made us heavenly beings, devised for goodness.."
"We don't need a God who allows evil to exist.."

Many times before, i find myself blaming God for all that didn't go my way, all that is cruel and unjust, all the tears and pain, like we're only chess pieces and the universe, His chess board. But i was reminded of this very revelation, that we're made for Love and we're made to possess the freedom to Choose.

Remember the story back in the Garden of Eden, mankind was put to the test, not by God, but by circumstance. To their knowledge, Adam and Eve knew very well that the Fruit was forbade by God to be eaten. Secondly, the serpent, an enticement to their natural curiosity. At that point, they were to Choose, correct? To choose to succumb to their humanly desire or choose to place their trust in God beyond themselves. The separation that God had to put between men and Himself, i believe, was intended for the better. God, all-knowing and almighty, yet brought down by petty men who refused His love.

"Ordinary Fall", is referring to the Fall of Adam and Eve after being banished from the garden, from their home, from the Trust that once held them close to God but betrayed. Despite the tragic incident, the pain that it has caused, the consequences that they brought unto themselves, God was never faraway from them. Because, He made us this way, and loves us for who we are, unconditionally.
Everyday people face situations that could cause them to fall, some got back up on their own and go about life the same over and over again; some never did, some only waited...

"It doesn't come this way, it's just not what you say, so reach out..."

God is always there for you, whether you believe it or not, just reach out.

Thanks
Eve
