June Acoustic Shows

Time flies!

And the urge to update the band's blog has arrived!

Haha.

Updates:

We have welcomed a couple of new members abroad and hoping to kick-start as soon as Terry's back from his wonderful holiday in Australia. As for me, i've just enrolled into Law degree so been trying to catch up with college and stuff, and have no idea what the rest of them are doing just yet. But i'll find out soon. We may sound like we have distant relationships but deep inside, i know they missed me and we tight yo! *fingers crossed*

Oh, and there were a couple of birthdays and a wedding as well(one that i missed on my birthday! sorry abang keng!).

Congratulations to Uncle Keng! Wish you lots and lots of joy and babies!
Happy belated birthday to Uncle Terry, myself and to all the Junies! *what do you call those whose birthday is in the month of June?*

For the month of June, the band, or i would say me/myself/alone, has been performing acoustic sessions for several events. Would also like to thank Danny New for always being there to back me up on the violins as well as some good friends who were always there to support. You know who you are and i love you guys!

I had the privilege to be able to be part of the Monsoon Records Night Show at Laundry Bar, being a guest vocalist for this amazing band called Goodbye 20th Century!(link) Thank you, Andri! Man, they are really nice people and not to mention, a great band with great music. Do check them out on their upcoming shows!

We also had the opportunity to perform on set for the Open Mic Jam @ NTV7 Studio in Glenmarie. It was pre-recorded for the program REMAJA @ TV3 and was broadcasted on national tv on the 4th July, 2010. *memorable* A big THANK YOU to Prakash and DeqOne (TV Host @ Remaja) for the kind hospitality.
For those who missed out on it, we'll be posting up the video as soon as we have it in our hands!

Hoping to get onto a serious practice/songwriting-mode and there're also plans for recording as well. So, be patient with us! Till then, dont worry, be happy!

Cheers!

Eve

- Had my most stressful pre-gig moments when Lam informed me that he was having a bad fever like an hour before show and couldn't make it. THANK GOD FOR DANNY! And how he can always overlook my mistakes during a song and still plays his heart out for a good show! -

The Departure

Hey peeps,

Hope you guys had a great week.

I'm owing the rest of the guys BUBBLE TEAS due to my incorrigible absent mindedness. I missed last wednesday's jamming session and honestly, i confess that i actually forgot that it was a wednesday. Boo.

Anyways, terry's been busy with Seven Collar T Shirt. Apparently, their preparing for a big show in KLPAC that will take place by the end of may. Will keep you guys updated on that. Heads up for fans of David, and this may be as shocking and it was only a one week notice, he'll be leaving for Melbourne this coming monday afternoon. For good. haha. Will be there with him at the airport and i hope i don't let my emotions get the whole of me. *fingers crossed*

I'm sure you guys will be guessing who's going to take on the sexyboi-drummer role. *any male models up for audition?* Nagh, that was a joke. Well, we're already looking into a couple of suggestions and will start practicing soon.

So that explains the upcoming ACOUSTIC shows.

Here's a couple of videos and pictures from Monash Extreme Sports Carnival. THANKS to those who came to support.

EVE ft. Danny New - This Is Where It Begins

Wasn't it a bomb??
I mean, hardcore activities and the hardcore bands with the hardcore young people under the hot-core sun. We were literally having a shower on stage today. Well i know i barely moved on stage and before i was done with my first song, i was already soaked in sweat.

If you missed out on this event, its your loss.

The other bands, who're also good friends of us, were awesome. You guys should check them out! (just click on the links below)

THANK you for those who came to support!

And i would also like to take this opportunity to thank a good friend of mine, Fidot! For making it an effort to drive all the way back from melacca straight after his test just to catch my last song! *heart *

Stay tune for more updates. Cheers!

Love,
Eve

This Is For You

EVE LIVE @ EARTH HOUR 2010, UCSI

One word - amazing!
Honestly, i'm sure i have made it clear to the audience, that the fact that I'm standing on stage does NOT make me a rockstar. Rather, you guys DOWN there are the rockstars! You guys make a huge role in making a good show GOOD. Without you there, the event would not have go on, the bands would not have the honor to showcase their songs neither will they have the energy to perform well. Seriously. The atmosphere was so intense the moment i step onto stage i could hardly breathe.

Give it up for UCSI! The team and all you students, friends and family who came to support the event as well as the performers.

Well, here's some videos for you guys to reminisce on. Or for those who have missed us performing, once again, after such a long break. Cheers!

Have Some Faith

We're back!

After a couple months of break, we're finally getting everything together. Shake off the past off our shoulders. Take it one step at a time. Keeping each other above the line, pushing each other to move forth to a whole new level.

Eve:
Been asking myself a few questions over and over again. Where do i stand? How am i going to break away from what's not good for me? What is it going to take to make a difference? Is it enough to just believe...

Honestly, the answers are not clear for me yet. However, i do know that to believe and just living it would make the best first-step to start a whole new life.

My personal message now for those of you, my dear friends, who are anticipating something from me and the band is, i would not give up on hoping for a better change every single day. So should you. Have some faith, make up your mind and take action.

FYI, we'll be taking things at our own pace.

Eve @ Artista

It was another awesome night to be on stage once again in Artista !

Had a few good friends like AriffGeorge(2StoreyHeart) and David (Goodnight Warrior) who performed solo as well. They've got really cool stuff going on there so please check 'em out!

EXCITING!
Maybe it's just me.

Honestly, for the very first time, i actually felt a sense of fulfillment towards my performance that night.

Another Journey To Complete

Yello!

It's been a great weekend!

EVE did not get through the second round of Library's Got Talent, but heck, it was a good run. Personally, I've learnt how to position my confidence before me, knowing that whether or not some things will turn out well does not matter as much as believing in yourself right from the beginning until the end. God has been awesome in placing the right friends and family who were there to support me through out this competition.
Thank you all for the wishes and votes!

So one journey ends, another begins...

We were invited to be one of the guest bands for the MYC BOB 2009 (Touch N' Go) event which was held in Sunway Pyramid last saturday. It was eye opening and it got me thinking, "Whoa, so many talented young people in Malaysia." When i say young, i mean really YOUNG. Besides the old timers, i must admit that the younger-generation bands really did put their hearts into putting on a good show that day.

"Do not let anyone look down on you just because you are young, rather set good examples in your speech and conduct with faith and love..." (1 Timothy 4:12)

I'm also workin on some acoustic recordings at home for the current songs we have jammed as a band. So if any of you have some tips please drop me a note yea!

This next video is a new song called - Life's A Catch .
The idea is there and the band has jammed it only a couple of times. Guess we needa work more on the arrangements before we take it out on the stage next time! So yea, be excited!

Grateful

Well, what can i say?
I'VE GOT AWESOME NEWS TO SHARE!
We had a blast on Halloween!
Although i have no idea what it signifies or have the intentions whatsoever to celebrate it.
If it wasn't for the costumes, and the support of our family and friends,
it would not have made a mark on my calendar.
It was an honor to play alongside Car Crash Hearts, Rashdan Harith, Rosevelt and the rest of them.
Hope the bond stays strong among us because i feel that friendship plays a vital role that helps us grow and mature in this industry.

Next, we got through the first heat for Library's Got Talent!
I seriously did not expect anything.
I guess i was more worried about how well i could sing that moment than bother what the judges think. By the end of the song, i was relieved i wasn't buzz-ed out.
Was thinking about having the full band to play for the next round...

Anyway, will be attending the next couple of heats to support the other bands!

An Honest Mistake will be performing this coming Sunday, Nov 8
Rosevelt - next Sunday, Nov 15

The event starts at 7pm, so bring your friends and show some love to them by voting!
The points are mainly contributed by the audience!
Won't require any cover charge for your entry!

Pictures taken on the Open Mic session @ Groove Junction.
Videos will be uploaded soon!

One Step At A Time

I have been told,

" Coffee is bad for your stomach,
Manual cars are always faster...
I'm just joking"

*silly ideas from a friend *

Currently chilling in Starbucks while brainstorming for ideas to start up a band blog.
So where did I left off...

So I have been told,

" This road is taken by many who fall before the end of it"

"Dreams are merely inspiration without promises"

"It's better off to flow with the current, not against it"

So, I've been told.

Maybe it's time to stop listening,
Maybe it's time to just believe.

This is ...
